According to the Negotiable Instruments Law of the People's Republic of China (2004 Revision)For a bill of exchange guaranteed, the guarantor and the guaranteed shall bear general liability to the holder. If the bill cannot be paid at maturity, the guarantor shall have the right to refuse to assume guarantee liability to the holder before a dispute concerning the bill of exchange has been adjudicated or arbitrated and when such guaranteed has failed to perform his/her/its obligation despite enforcement against his/her/its property in accordance with the law.

According to the Negotiable Instruments Law of the People's Republic of China (2004 Revision)The holder shall, within three days from the date of receiving the relevant proof of non-acceptance or non-payment, notify in writing its prior party of the reasons for the dishonor; its prior party shall, within three days from the date of receipt of the notice, notify in writing the still preceding prior party. The liability of the bank entrusted by the payer to make payment shallinclude butbe not limited to the payment of the sum of the bill of exchange from the payer's account in accordance with the particulars specified on the bill.
