Subject: An Addition to the Rules
Dear Mr. John Koza,
As you are aware, we had an unfortunate incident last week that an employee intentionally destroyed one of the company's computers. He has subsequently been let go. I looked over the list of the Employee Rules of Conduct that you drew up several years ago and found that it needs to be revised.
First of all, we need to add a clause about destruction of company property. I believe that the intentional destruction of company property should not only be grounds for immediate dismissal. I think that the offender should pay damages.
Also, there is no mention of pets at all in the Employee Rules of Conduct. I' ve noticed that a few of the office workers have brought their pets to the office. This is a distraction for the other employees and should not be tolerated at any time.
If you have any additions to the rules, please let me know. I would like the new set of rules to be distributed to the employees by next Wednesday. Please submit them to me by Tuesday for approval.
Yours sincerely,
Why does Mr. Robert Wright send an e-mail to Mr. John Koza?

A. To tell him about an employee who destroyed a computer
B. To make him sue for the damages
C. To tell him to revise some of the Employee Rules of Conduct
D. To tell him to change all of the Employee Rules of Conduct

Dear Mr. Peter Gardner,
Thank you for your e-mail.
I would like to show you that our computer software can help improve productivity and increase the number of services you can supply your clients with. I'm confident that you'll find our software quite useful.
On the day of the workshop, I'll bring our colleague, Mr. Gary Mendell, who will take care of technical issues. Mr. Gary Mendell is one of the computer programmers who developed this software, so he will be able to answer technical questions your employees may have about it.
As for handouts, I'll contact your assistant on Monday, the 29th of July. There will only be a few pages as most of the demonstration will be given on a computer at the workshop.
Thanks.
James Crawford
