Literacy specialists admit that children who read below the level of their fellow pupils are often afraid of reading aloud in a group, often have lower self-confidence, and regard reading as a headache. It is often identified as a mark of an obstacle in learning in quite a few disciplines, which would easily lead to further problems for the children.
