Of the three cities, Chicago seems to the committee to offer the greatest advantages. Here are our observations of the city.Though not at the geographical center of the United States, Chicago is centrally located in an area that contains more than three-quarters of the U.S. population. It is within easy reach of our head office in New York. And it is close to several of our important suppliers of components (配件) and raw materials – those, for example, in Columbus, Detroit, and St. Louis.The city is served by several railroads. Except during the winter months when the Great Lakes are frozen, it is an international seaport.
