Read the passage. writeT or F for the statements.Thomas EdisonThomas Alva Edisonwas an American inventor, whose inventions included the record player and the light bulb. Although Edison was very successful, he faced many challenges and failures throught his career,Edison was born in Ohio in 1847. He had trouble focusing at school, and after attending school for only a few months he dropped out of school, taking a job selling snacks and newspaters on trains.Edison once started a job sending and receiving news. However, he was fired after lnly a year of working there. Perhaps he decided to become to become a full-time inventor after that.Edison first major invention was the phonograph, or " the record player"as it is commonly known. The phonograph made Edison famous and gave him the motivation to work on more inventions.Perhaps Edison' most important invention was the light bulb. It is said that Edison made around 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at perfecting this invention. When a reporter aked him how it felt to fail 1,000, Edison replied that he didn't fail 1000 times and the light bulb was just an invention with 1,000 steps.We can learn from Edison that if we work hard and don't give up. we can be successful.
