Last summer, my friends and I organized a (1) _______________ (required/support/fund-raising) event to raise money for my local animal shelter. We knew that the shelter needed some (2) _______________ (support/possess/valid) and we really wanted to make a difference. We booked our (3) _______________ (community/shelter/marine) hall and my friend, who is a really good baker, made some delicious cakes. Another friend made tea and coffee, and a local artist agreed to sell some of his (4) _______________ (badges/causes/handicrafts) to raise some extra money. The event was a great success. Over 100 people came along and many of them made some very generous (5) _______________ (causes/support/donations). It felt so good to give something back to our community and to help a cause which we felt strongly about.
