听力原文:W: As more women in the United States move up the professional ladder, more are finding it necessary to make business trips alone. Since this is new for many, some pieces of advice are certainly in order. If you are married, it is a good idea to encourage your husband and children to learn to cook a few simple meals while you are away. They will be much happier and probably they will enjoy the experience. If you will be eating alone a good deal, choose good restaurants. In the end, they will be much better for your digestion. You may also find it useful to call the restaurant in advance and state that you will be eating alone. You will probably get better service and almost certainly a better table. Finally, and most importantly, anticipate your travel needs as a businesswoman; this starts with lightweight luggage which you can easily manage even when fully packed. Take a folding case inside your suitcase; it will come in extremely handy for dirty clothes, as well as for business documents and papers you no longer need on the trip. And make sure you have a briefcase so that you can keep currently required papers separate. Obviously, experience helps, but you can make things easier on yourself from the beginning by careful planning, so that right from the start you really can have a good trip!

A. Working women who have no time for cooking.

听力原文:M: Office systems are equipment used to create, store, process, or communicate information in a business environment. This information can be manually, electrically, or electronically produced, duplicated, and transmitted.
The rapid growth of the service sector of the world economy beginning in the mid-1970s has furnished a new market for sophisticated office automation.
Most modem office equipment, including typewriters, dictation equipment, facsimile machines, photocopiers, calculators, and telephone systems as well, contains a microprocessor. With the increasing incorporation of microchips into office equipment, the line between the computer and other equipment has blurred.
At the same time, computers, either stand-alone or as part of a network, and specialized software programs are taking over tasks such as facsimile transmission or fax, voice mail, and telecommunications that were once performed by separate pieces of equipment. In fact, the computer has virtually taken the place of typewriters, calculators, and manual accounting techniques and is rapidly talking over graphic design, production scheduling, and engineering design.
The use of computers and other modem equipment has enabled links to be established far beyond the walls of a building. Electronic links allow people in a modem office to communicate with workers at home or in satellite offices. This capability has led to a sharp increase in telecommuting. Since the early 1990s workers have worked at least part of the time outside the main office. Managers and professional employees are the major participants in this trend. As they no longer have to spend hours traveling from home to office, their work productivity has increased.
As technology advances further, new equipment will be invented and introduced into the modem office, which will result in even greater efficiency in office work.
What do office systems refer to according to the passage?

A. Computerized equipment used in a business environment in a modem office.
B. Equipment used to create, store, process, or communicate information in a business environment.
C. Equipment used in satellite offices.
D. Equipment used to create a web page and download information from the Internet in a business or non-business environment.
