听力原文: Space Adventures, the company that has sent "space tourists" up to the International Space Station, is planning a new mission: rocketing rich people around the dark side of the moon. The first mission, dubbed DSE-Alpha (for Deep Sea Explorations) , could happen as early as 2008, company CEO (Chief Executive Officer) Eric Anderson said at a Manhattan news conference. The first traveller would be only the 28th person in history to orbit the moon--not counting the cosmonaut of the Russian spacecraft that will make the flight--and the first person to orbit the moon in more than 33 years. The trip will offer the chance to see the Earth rise from lunar orbit and a view of the far side of the moon, never seen from Earth, from an altitude of 62 miles. The price tag is every bit as steep: $100 million for each of the two planned passengers, which includes costs such as planning the mission, modifying a modern Soyuz TMA spacecraft for the trip and completing manned and unmanned test flights before the space tourists make their trip.

听力原文: Although cheese has been made in England for many centuries, the nation's first cheese factory was established just over one hundred years ago. By the mid 1930s there was a positive glut of cheese making farms--although they have decreased somewhat in recent years. There are innumerable varieties of cheese produced in England today. In the past goats' milk was favoured but these days cows' milk is usually used in the manufacture of cheese products. Cheeses such as Cheddar, Lancashire and Cheshire are still made by traditional methods, using milk produced on the maker's farm or local cheese farms. Some of them are independently graded and carry the "Farmhouse English Cheese" mark as a guarantee of quality. There has been much renewed interest in cheese making in England, which has resulted in the development of new cheeses and the re-appearance of old favourites. Many are made on farms or smallholdings, and can be purchased locally from specialist cheese shops. For example, Exmoor and Coleford Blue from the West Country, and Beamish and Swaledale from the North.
When was the first cheese factory established?
A. Over one hundred years ago.
B. Hundreds of years ago.
C. In 1930.
D. In 1913.

听力原文: India is the land of festivals. Diwali is the Festival of Light and is celebrated with fervour and gaiety throughout the country to ward off the darkness and welcome light into everyone's lives. A four-day celebration marks the festival, the first day of which, "Naraka Chaturdasi" commemorates the vanquishing of the immensely powerful demon Naraka by Lord Krishna and his wife Satyabhama. The second day is "Amavasya" when prayers are offered to the goddess of prosperity, Lakshmi, for it is believed that on this day Lakshmi is in her most benevolent mood and is ready to fulfill the wishes of her devotees. Indians queue up for hours to pay homage at the Lakshmi temples on Amavasya. The third day is "Kartika Shudda Padyami" but is of comparatively minor relevance. The fourth day is referred to as "Yama Dvitiya" and on this day brothers are invited to their sisters' homes. In north India it is also celebrated as the return of Rama from 14 years in exile after killing the wicked King Ravan. To commemorate his return to his homeland, Ayodhya, his subjects illuminated the kingdom & burst crackers. The city streets are festooned with tinsel and fairy lights, and excitement fills the air.
