At the company's annual meeting last week in Philadelphia, its Chief Executive Officer, Ben Parker outlined an ambitious set of steps that are expected to reduce energy consumption in the company's industrial kitchens up to 5% within two years. CHN Incorporated is also undertaking an initiative to cut the amount of solid waste it generates by asking all its suppliers to reduce the amount of packaging materials they use when shipping food ingredients to the company's plants.
