China will remove all ranking lists of celebrities and regulate the sale of fans merchandise as an effort to crack down on celebrity fan culture, according to the Cyberspace Administration of China. The statement released Thursday raised new requirements for both celebrities’ companies and Chinese internet companies in fostering a healthy fan culture.
