More and more people around the world are taking part in dangerous sports and activities. Of course, there have always been people who have looked for adventure(冒险)—those who have climbed the highest mountains, searched into unknown parts of the world or sailed in small boats across the greatest oceans.
I would consider bungee(蹦极) jumping to be a good example of such an activity. You jump from a high place 200 meters above the ground with a rope tired to your feet. You fall at up to 150 kilometers an hour until the rope stops you from hitting the ground.

The purpose of a letter of application is to help you to "sell" yourself. You should state the job you want clearly, and should tell what your abilities are and what you have done. It should be simple, human, personal and brief without leaving out any necessary facts.
In writing a letter of application, a possible employer may want to know a number of important things. What is your qualifications(资历)？ What achievements have you made？ And what are your aims？ The opening paragraph is perhaps the most important part. Try to keep your opening sentences to
the needs or interests of the employer, not to your own needs or desires.
Be clear about the kind of job for which you are now applying. College graduates looking for their first positions often ask "What can I provide in a letter？" Employers want to know about your experience. Certainly, a beginner has no experience. The answer is that everything you have ever done is experience.
It is important to write good strong closing words for your letter. Ask for an interview or give the possible employer something definite to do or expect. An excellent idea is to enclose(随信附上) an envelope with your address and a stamp. That makes it easier for a possible employer to get in touch with you.
