Peter was an auto mechanic. One day, he walked into the Union Bank in Baltimore and took 5, 000 dollars that did not belong to him. The guards and other employees stood back and let him stuff the bills in his shirt and pants, without trying to prevent him from taking the money. No one tripped an alarm. No one pulled a gun. No one caned the police. Why did they allow him to get away with it?
Well, everything was legal. Peter had won a contest promoted by a Baltimore radio station. The first prize entitled him to enter the union Trust bank and gather up as much money as he could lay his hands within five minutes. Because he could not bring any large bags or boxes into the bank, all the money had to be placed on his pockets.
As the time went by, peter ran about wildly, truing to pick up many large bills as he could find. When his time was up, he was out of breath, but was $5, 000 richer.
Why did Peter go to the Union Trust bank?

A. To cash a check.
B. To rob the bank.

M: You can't have a picnic without good weather. You need sunshine for all the eating and games and entertainment.
W: Yeah, sunshine but not too much! Do you remember last year?
M: I sure do. It was so hot that all we did was look for shade, look for ways
to escape from the sun.
W: And no one wanted to participate in any of the planned activities. All we wanted was cold drinks. And then we dozed off.
M: If there had just been the tiniest breeze to cool us off.
W: But there wasn't. Just that burning sun, without a cloud in the sky, and the temperature just seemed to climb higher and higher.
M: Well, we don't have that problem this year, apparently. Roben, did you hear the weather forecast? It is supposed to rain?
W: I don't know. I didn't catch the weather report. But maybe if it rains, it will only be a short shower which cools things off a little. That might not be bad.
