M: Hi ! I saw you yesterday with John. We room together. I' m Michael.
W: Oh,hi, Mike. How are you doing？
M: I' m okay, but school ha been really hectic since I came. I haven' t even had a chance to breathe!
W: I know. It' s especially crazy when you' re a freshman. Hey, what' s your major？
M: Travel and tourism.
W: Well, what do you plan to do after you graduate？
M: Uh... I really haven't decided. I think I'd like to work for a travel agency in this area. What about you？
W: Well, when I first started college, I majored in physics, but later I realized I might have a hard time finding a job in that field. I ended up changing to computer science Finding a job in the IT industry shouldn't be as difficult.
M: Have you got a part - time job to support yourself through school？
W: Well, I' m on a four - year scholarship that pays my tuition.
M: Wow, lucky you !
W: Yeah. How about you？ Are you paying for school yourself？
M: Sort of. I work weekends at a travel agency.
W: A travel agency ？ That seems like a perfect experience for you! What do you do there？
M: I' m a tour guide. I show tour groups around the city.
W: Wow, your English must be pretty good then.
M: Actually, they' re all Chinese tourists. That' s why I got the job!

听力原文： The two most famous faces in Britain today belong to two women who appear on television almost every night. If you open any popular magazine or newspaper you'll almost certainly see an article about one of them, with lost of photographs. Their names axe Susan Rippen and Anna Ford. Susan reads the 9 o' clock news on BBC Television, and Anna reads the 10 o' clock news on independent Television.
Most news announcers on British television are men, and when Susan began her job at the BBC three years ago, she was the first woman news announcer. Newspapers and magazines stared to take an interest in her and reporters started to write about her. Last year, Independent Television also decide to have a woman news announcer and they chose Anna Ford. Newspapers and magazines showed a great interest in her, too.
When Anna read the news for the first time on the 10 o' clock programme, millions of people who don' t normally watch the programme decided to watch it that night, to see Anna Ford.
